ASISTA is an independent student-built Chrome extension designed to help students using the Rajagiri Fedena portal understand and plan around attendance information.
ASISTA is not an official Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (RCSS) or Fedena product and has no affiliation, endorsement, or authorization from either organization.
1. Information ASISTA handles
When a user chooses to synchronize, ASISTA reads information already available to that user through Rajagiri Fedena, including student profile information where available, subject names/codes, attended and total classes, missed classes, attendance percentages, calculated attendance values, and synchronization time.
2. How information is collected
ASISTA reads the relevant attendance page when the user explicitly chooses Sync Now. If necessary, it may request the student's profile page within the Rajagiri Fedena domain using the browser's existing authenticated session. The browser sends that request to Rajagiri Fedena; ASISTA does not send the profile data to an ASISTA server.
3. How information is used
The information is used only for ASISTA's attendance-analysis features, including dashboard display, subject calculations, safe-miss estimates, analytics, and planning guidance.
4. Local storage
ASISTA is designed to store synced application data locally on the user's device using Chrome extension storage and browser storage. ASISTA does not operate a central ASISTA attendance database or cloud account for this application.
5. Sharing
ASISTA does not sell, rent, or share synced attendance or profile information with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. It does not intentionally transmit synced attendance or profile information to an ASISTA-operated server.
6. Authentication
ASISTA does not ask users for or store their Fedena password. When a profile request is necessary, the browser may use the existing authenticated Fedena session for that request. ASISTA does not copy that session credential into ASISTA storage.
7. Data deletion
Users can clear ASISTA's locally stored data using the application's available reset/clear controls or by removing browser/extension data. ASISTA does not maintain a remote copy that requires a separate deletion request.
8. Third-party services
ASISTA does not use third-party advertising, tracking, analytics, or data-broker services to process attendance or student profile data.
9. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
ASISTA's use of information obtained through Chrome extension APIs and the Rajagiri Fedena portal is limited to providing and improving the extension's disclosed attendance-analysis functionality. ASISTA does not sell user data, use it for personalized advertising, or transfer it to third parties except where necessary to provide the disclosed functionality or as required by law.
10. Changes
If ASISTA's data practices materially change, this policy will be updated before those changes are introduced.
